'Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer' first look OUT: Jayasurya's birthday surprise for fans; promises an engaging fantasy film

The much-awaited first look of 'Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer', starring Jayasurya, has finally been unveiled. The makers chose a special occasion for the release as it is Jayasurya’s birthday on this day, making it a double celebration for fans.

A powerful first look of 'Kathanar'

The poster introduces Jayasurya in an awe-inspiring avatar. Jayasurya is seen standing tall on a rocky cliff edge with his long hair and thick beard flowing in the stormy winds. The actor radiates an aura of power and mysticism as he is seen draped in a mysterious black cloak that seems to blend with lightning and swirling energy around him.

The poster also carries a cryptic line that reads, “The one who steals your time, your mind, your reality.”Jayasurya shared the poster on his Instagram. He wrote, “Not the tale you know, but the one rewritten by time. An epic reborn, for a new era. Happy Birthday Dear Jayasurya — the face of our wild sorcerer, Kathanar @kathanarthemovie.”

The film also marks a landmark moment as Anushka Shetty makes her Malayalam debut in the role of Nila aka Kalliyankattu Neeli.Popular dancer-actor Prabhudheva returns to Malayalam screens after 13 years, adding star power to the project.

Sandy, who was recently seen as the antagonist in Kalyani Priyadarshan's 'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra', plays another key character.On the technical front, the film is mounted as a grand pan-India project, with virtual production technology forming the backbone of its visual spectacle. Neil D Cunha handles cinematography, Jungjin Park choreographs the action, while music is composed by Rahul Subrahmanian Unni.
