Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has asked the party rank and file to knock every door in the constituency to enlist support for the party candidate in the November 11 by-election to Jubilee Hills Assembly seat.

The party chief had a lengthy strategic meeting with the party candidate Maganti Sunitha Gopinath, party leaders, legislators, and members of Parliament at his Erravelli farmhouse near Gajwel in Siddipet district on Thursday. Working president of the party K.T. Rama Rao, senior leaders T. Harish Rao, T. Srinivas Yadav, G. Jagadish Reddy, P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, Md. Mahamood Ali, S. Niranjan Reddy, B. Vinod Kumar and others attended.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao said the people and electorate of the Jubilee Hills constituency had already decided their choice in favour of the BRS candidate, and the party leaders were required only to meet people at their doorsteps.

He stated that the State had become financially sick under Congress rule for the last 22 months, as the Congress leaders were plundering the resources indiscriminately. By fielding a rowdy-sheeter as its candidate, the Congress party was taking a test of people’s wisdom and expressed hope that people would defeat him.

Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao made suggestions on the campaign strategies from now on to the candidate and campaign coordinators. At another party meeting held in Hyderabad, Mr. Rama Rao assured the Muslim community that he would personally take the responsibility for allotment of land for a graveyard in the constituency.
