Two faculty members of Kannur Dental College at Anjarakandy accused in connection with the death of BDS student Nithin Raj R.L. have approached the Thalassery District Sessions Court seeking anticipatory bail even as criticism mounts over delay in their arrest.
Dr. M.K. Ram and Dr. Sangeeta Nambiar, who remain absconding, contended in their bail plea that they had no role in the student’s death. The application argues that Nithin Raj was under stress due to threats from a loan app, which they claim led to the suicide. Dr. Ram has also stated that he was not present in the principal’s room on the day of the incident.
