Over 5,800 candidates shortlisted, check direct link here

The state medical admission process in Kerala has moved forward with the release of the NEET PG 2025 Round 1 provisional merit list and category list. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has shortlisted 5,884 candidates who can now take part in the state counselling for postgraduate medical courses including MD, MS and PG Diploma programmes.

The list shows each candidate’s rank and category status, which will decide their chances during seat allotment. Along with this update, a small number of applications have been flagged for missing or incorrect documents. These candidates must correct their submissions by the deadline set by the CEE. Students are advised to check the lists carefully and stay updated on the next steps in the admission schedule.

Ineligible candidates and documentation requirements

A total of 34 candidates have been declared ineligible at this stage due to incomplete or improper document submission.

These applicants have been given a final opportunity to rectify the deficiencies by uploading the required documents before 12 PM on November 4, 2025. Failure to comply may result in removal from Round 1 eligibility.Earlier, the CEE had published a list of 967 defective applications and directed such candidates to complete documentation by October 27, 2025.

How to check the Kerala NEET PG 2025 provisional merit list

Here is how candidates can check the merit list online:

  1. Open your browser and go to the official CEE Kerala website: cee.kerala.gov.in.
  2. On the homepage, find and click “PG Admission” (or “PG Medical 2025 — Candidate Portal” if shown).
  3. In the PG Admission / Candidate Portal area look for links titled “Provisional Merit List”, “Category List” or “NEET PG 2025 Round 1”. Click the appropriate PDF link.
  4. The list will open as a PDF. First, download it to your device (click the download icon) so you can search and save it.
  5. Open the downloaded PDF in a reader (Adobe Reader, browser PDF viewer). Press Ctrl+F (Windows) or Command+F (Mac) to open the search box.
  6. Search by your application number, NEET PG roll number, or your full name (use exact spelling). If you don’t find a match, try variations (no extra spaces, initials, or surname-first).
  7. Once found, check these fields carefully: application number, NEET PG roll number, rank, category (GEN/SC/ST/OBC/EWS), and any remark (for example: defective/ineligible). Note the page number and take a screenshot or save the PDF page.
  8. Repeat the same process for the Category List PDF to confirm your category rank and reservation details.
  9. If your name is not listed:
  • Check the defective applications list on the portal (if published) to see if you were flagged.
  • Log in to the Candidate Portal (if login is required) to view your application status and any messages.
  • If you are shown as defective or ineligible, follow the portal instructions immediately — upload missing documents before the deadline. Keep copies of every file you upload.
  • If the PDF won’t open or the portal is slow, try a different browser, clear cache, or use an incognito/private window.
  • If you still face problems, note the helpline/contact details on the CEE site and call or email them. Keep your application number and NEET roll number ready when contacting them.
  • Direct link to check merit list here. Quick tips: save a local copy of any downloaded lists; print or screenshot your entry for records; act quickly if flagged defective — deadlines are strict.
