The machine, the first of its kind in any government medical college in Kerala, will be installed in the Biochemistry department. The equipment will enable quick and accurate testing for conditions like multiple myeloma and other protein-related disorders. It can also reduce the need for invasive procedures like bone marrow biopsies. The system will support additional tests such as immunofixation and immunotyping.
