Krishna water to A. Konduru from January, says NTR Collector

NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha on Thursday (November 06, 2025) said that the State government is keenly monitoring the people suffering from kidney ailments in A. Konduru and surrounding areas of the district.

The Collector toured A. Konduru mandal to review medical services being provided to kidney patients. As part of his visit, the Collector interacted with the patients at Primary Health Centre and later examined the quality of water in the overhead tank in Krishnaraopalem village.

The Collector assured the patients that Krishna river water would be supplied to the region from January 2026.

Speaking to the media later, the Collector said that the government is focussing on the nutritional needs of the people in addition to providing medicines. He advised patients to strictly follow doctors’ instructions and added that nephrologist visits will be increased in the tribal hamlets to raise awareness among the people.
