Veteran playback singer KS Chithra recently shared a touching message remembering her late daughter. She posted a picture of Nandana and expressed her ongoing pain with heartfelt words.

Sharing a picture of her daughter, KS Chithra wrote, “The fact that you are no longer here will always cause me pain, but you are forever in my heart until we meet again.”Many followers left comforting comments. One wrote, "Sending you tightest hugs Chitra ma." Another one wrote, "prayers for you Chithra Chechi."

Nandana's story and loss
Nandana was born in 2002 after many years of waiting. She was a special child with Down syndrome. KS Chithra and her husband Vijay Shankar welcomed her as their first child.
In 2011, Nandana passed away at age eight. She drowned accidentally in the swimming pool at their house in Dubai. The tragedy happened while Chithra was in the UAE for a musical event.
Earlier remembrance note
Earlier in the year 2023, the veteran singer KS Chithra posted a note remembering her daughter. “Our hearts are full of memories. With pride we speak your name. Though life goes on without you, it will never be quite the same. In loving memory of our dearest Nandana Mol.#KSChithra #Nandana,” KS Chithra said in her note.
