Karnataka Unaided PU College Management Association (KUPMA) will hold a two-day conclave on pre-university education in Davangere starting Friday.
Minister S.S. Mallikarjun will inaugurate the event at the S.S. Mallikarjun Cultural Centre in BIET College at 2 p.m. on Friday.
Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Madhu Bangarappa will be the guest of honour.
MP Prabha Mallikarjun, president of the association Mohan Alva and secretary Narendra Nayak will be present.
The conclave will discuss various issues, including challenges in managing private unaided PU colleges, challenges posed by AI in education and upgrading the quality of teaching.
“It is a matter of common knowledge that it is difficult to run pre-university colleges these days. The pressure of new government regulations and officials who ask for information every day is bothering us. It is unfortunate that the admission of children in the existing colleges is decreasing as the government is granting licence to new colleges. We will cover all these issues,” said a release from district coordinator Noor Ahmed Dharwad.
