A question that changed the mood
As reported by Gujarati Jagran, during a promotional interview, director Ankit Sakhiya was asked whether he ever said "thank you" to his mother. The moment he heard this, he became emotional. His voice broke, and he struggled to hold back tears as he shared that a mother always gives and never expects anything back from her children.
Ankit Sakhiya on his tribute to his mother
Ankit Sakhiya revealed something very personal. He said, “I have written my name in the film as ‘Ankit Rekhaben Sakhiya’. I have done this for the first time.” He explained that while a father’s role is important, a mother never asks for anything. That is why he felt it was right to include her name in the film credits.
Ankit Sakhiya shares treasured childhood memory

At that time, only his mother trusted him and gave him a pen. Today, he believes it is the power of that same pen that helped him make 'Laalo'.
The film’s message and emotional soul
Speaking about women, Ankit Sakhiya said they often do not get the respect they deserve. Still, as wives, they stand strong beside their husbands. He also gave a simple message to men: spend time with your wife, even in small ways.'Laalo' tells the story of an auto-rickshaw driver who fights life’s problems with faith in God.
