After its strong theatrical run, Laalo is now preparing to reach audiences on digital platforms. Reports from Gujarati Jagran suggest that the film will soon be available on OTT.
Buzz around a big digital deal
There has been strong talk about Laalo becoming part of the biggest OTT deal in Gujarati cinema.
Reports claimed that a leading OTT platform bought the digital rights for Rs 3.5 crore. This amount is said to be more than seven times the film’s production cost of Rs 50 lakh. The news created excitement across the Gujarati film industry.
Director clears the air
Director Ankit Sakhiya has now responded to the reports. When asked about the claimed OTT deal, he did not confirm the information. He clearly denied the reports and said that no such deal has been officially confirmed yet.
His statement has brought clarity amid growing speculation.
Hindi version update
There were also reports that the Hindi dubbed version of 'Laalo' would release on November 28, 2025. Reportedly, Ankit Sakhiya dismissed these claims as well, as he explained that he does not want to just dub Laalo in Hindi and release it. He further said that the Hindi version needs to be fully edited. The songs need to be properly reworked, and some additional work is still pending to give Hindi audiences a good experience.
The director added that the Hindi release has been postponed for now.
