In a startling development in the Lal Singh murder case in Sangwari village, Rewari district, Haryana, the police have apprehended the deceased’s sons as the main perpetrators. Initially seen mourning their father’s death, Mohit and Rohit were revealed to have committed the heinous crime along with their accomplice, Pawan Khushwah.

Police said that to commit the crime, the accused struck the victim on the head with an iron musli—a stick-like weapon—then placed the body on a bike and dumped it near the Kalka canal. The motive behind the father’s murder remains unclear.

In this case, the police have arrested the deceased’s son, Mohit and Pawan Khuswah—Pawan being originally from Mathura and currently living on rent near Banipur Chowk in Rewari. Both accused have been produced in court and sent on a one-day police remand.

The third accused, Rohit, Lal Singh’s second son, is already in judicial custody in an Arms Act case. The police plan to bring him on a production warrant for interrogation.

Lal Singh’s body was discovered on May 31 near the canal, with blood marks trailing from his village, Sangwadi. Initially, a murder case was registered against unknown individuals based on a complaint by Lal Singh’s brother. The gravity of the case intensified when it was revealed that the victim’s own sons were responsible.
