Aizawl: CM Lalduhoma laid the foundation stone for a new working women’s hostel in Khatla, Aizawl, on Friday. This initiative is part of a broader plan to construct seven new hostels across the state under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) 2024–25 (Part X), with a central govt allocation of Rs 127 crore.
During the ceremony, the CM praised the Mizo Hmeichhe Tangrual for their role in managing the existing hostel since its inception in 1975. He acknowledged the growing demand for such facilities and emphasized the necessity of a new, larger building to accommodate more residents. Lalduhoma also called for continued collaboration between the government and MHT.
