LDF in Ernakulam to seek inputs from public to draft manifesto

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Ernakulam district has announced its plan to seek inputs from the public to draft the manifesto for the upcoming local body elections.

As part of this, LDF workers will visit houses and institutions in the district from November 1 to 3 and distribute a form to people to fill in their suggestions. Each local body will also provide an email ID and WhatsApp number for the purpose too. Public boxes will also be set up at major spots in all wards for the people to drop in their suggestions.

Writer N.S. Madhavan will inaugurate the campaign suggestion corner in front of Centre Square Mall, M.G. Road at 10 a.m. on Friday (October 31, 2025), marking the launch of the initiative.

“Draft manifestos will be made compiling the inputs. The final document will be prepared after conducting meetings with stakeholders from all sections of society,” CPI(M) district secretary S. Sathish told the media here on Thursday (October 30, 2025). LDF district convenor George Edapparathy, CPI district secretary N. Arun and Kerala Congress(M) district president Tomy Joseph attended the press meet.
