Left people at God's mercy: Priyanka Gandhi tears into Centre over Pahalgam attack

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, while speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, slammed the Centre over the Pahalgam attack and questioned the security lapses. She questioned the absence of any security personnel in the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, despite the knowledge that thousands of tourists visit the spot.

“People went to Pahalgam trusting this government, and the government left them to the mercy of God," she said.

The Congress leader further questioned intelligence failure and asked, “Was no government agency in the know that such a dastardly terror attack is going to happen and a plot is being hatched in Pakistan?”

"When 26/11 happened during Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji’s govt, all terrorists were killed at the same time, one was caught and we hanged him. Maharashtra CM resigned, Home Minister resigned because we were accountable to our people and our land," she said.
