Lionel Messi’s Delhi tour hit by fog: World Cup star stuck in Mumbai; fans in capital await final GOAT Tour event

NEW DELHI: Argentine football legend Lionel Messi’s arrival in Delhi on Monday for the final leg of his G.O.A.T Tour has been delayed after his flight was postponed due to foggy weather. Messi, who is in Mumbai for the second day of his three-day tour, was scheduled to land in the national capital earlier on Monday.

However, his charter flight was held up due to foggy conditions. He is currently at Mumbai airport and is expected to depart shortly for his remaining engagements, which include an appearance at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium for a ticketed event. During his visit to Mumbai on Sunday, Messi delighted fans, posing with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, as well as several Bollywood stars and politicians. Prior to Mumbai, he had made similar appearances in Hyderabad and Kolkata. The Kolkata event faced disruptions as fans at Salt Lake Stadium grew frustrated after being unable to see the football star, leading to chaos with spectators tearing seats and storming the pitch.
