Livvy Dunne is already planning a very different future after gymnastics. The former Livvy Dunne says she has started taking acting lessons and hopes to explore a career in movies or television after finishing her college gymnastics journey in 2025.

Livvy Dunne, who became one of the most famous athletes in college sports while competing for LSU Tigers gymnastics, recently shared that acting has quietly been part of her interests for a long time. She said that during her years as a student-athlete, gymnastics and school always came first, so she never had the time to seriously try acting.Now that her college career is ending, Dunne finally feels she can focus on other creative ideas. In an interview with People, the 23-year-old explained that acting is something she truly enjoys and wants to learn more about.

Her announcement has quickly caught attention because Dunne already has a huge fan base online and strong name recognition across sports and social media. With millions following her every move, many fans are now curious to see if the gymnastics star will soon appear on a screen instead of the balance beam.

While speaking to People, Livvy Dunne explained that acting is not a new interest for her. She said she had wanted to try it even while competing for LSU but simply could not balance it with the heavy schedule of college gymnastics.

“One thing people would be surprised about is that I take acting lessons and I really love it,” Dunne said.She added that the idea has stayed with her for years. “It’s something I’ve been passionate about for quite some time. I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you’re a student-athlete at school; school and sports, but really gymnastics was my main focus.”Now that she has stepped away from that demanding routine, Dunne says she finally has space to explore the creative side of life.“And now that I’m done with school, I have more time to lean into the acting stuff and the creative side of things,” she said.Dunne also shared that she would gladly take a role in a film or television show if the right project comes along. She explained that she enjoys working with others and watching a creative project come together.“I feel like collabing on creativity and seeing the end result, having something be great after, that’s something that I love,” she said.

“Whether it’s gymnastics or acting in a movie or a TV show, I just think watching all your hard work pay off… I think it’s so cool.”Outside gymnastics, Dunne has already built one of the largest followings among athletes. She has more than 5.3 million followers on Instagram and about 7.9 million on TikTok, where she regularly shares training clips and everyday life moments.Her personal life also keeps her connected to the sports world.

Dunne is dating Paul Skenes, a pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates.Livvy Dunne has said she plans to support him closely this season as well. Speaking to the Daily Mail at the Super Bowl in February, she shared that she hopes to attend as many of his games as possible in 2026.“I’ll try to make all of his starts, that’s my goal this year,” she said.She may soon be watching one of his biggest appearances yet. Paul Skenes is scheduled to pitch for Team USA at the World Baseball Classic game against Mexico in Houston, Texas.While Livvy Dunne’s next chapter is still unfolding, one thing is clear.
