 Kalyani Priyadarshan's film wins big; races past Rs 119 crores

One way, her recent release 'Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira' have faded at the box office, but Kalyani Priyadarshan’s fantasy drama 'Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra' is showing no signs of slowing down.According to the Sacnilk website, the film has now collected an impressive Rs 119.25 crore in just 18 days, with the Sunday numbers adding Rs 6.85 crore across languages (early estimates).

Strong Malayalam response for Dominic Arun's film

The original Malayalam version continues to be the backbone of its success. On Sunday, September 14, the film registered an overall 78.99% occupancy in Kerala. Afternoon and evening shows were packed with audiences as it crossed 85% and 88% respectively. Even morning and night slots held strong occupancy rates.

Telugu market picks pace

The Telugu version recorded an overall occupancy of 35.30% on Day 18. While morning shows stood at 25.47%, evening shows picked up to touch 46.19%.

Made within a budget of Rs 30 crores, 'Lokah' is surely a game changer in Mollywood. Apart from Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead, the superhero fantasy film also has the actors Naslen K.
