Palghar: Established in 1978, Lokhande Industries has been a trusted name in India’s manufacturing sector for over four decades. Based in Palghar, Maharashtra, the company specializes in the production of V-ring chains, anchor chains, flat ring chains, and blank key chains that are widely recognized for their durability, lightweight design, and cost efficiency.
Founded by Mr. Shrikant Lokhande, the company steadily built a strong operational foundation through its focus on quality manufacturing and customized production capabilities. However, despite its experience and established customer base, the company faced several operational challenges that limited its ability to scale efficiently. One of the major concerns was low workforce productivity caused by unstructured production planning and the absence of measurable accountability systems.
Employees operated without clearly defined daily targets, resulting in inconsistent output levels and operational inefficiencies. The company also lacked real-time production tracking mechanisms, making it difficult to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective measures promptly.

Before the collaboration, the company’s per-person production stood at 1534 kg per month. This reflected gaps in workforce utilization and inefficient production management systems. Additionally, limited accountability and inconsistent monitoring affected production discipline across departments.
To address these issues, structured KRAs and KPIs were introduced for employees across the organization. Every team member was assigned measurable daily production targets, while multiple performance reviews were conducted throughout the day to ensure consistency and accountability.
The company also implemented real-time monitoring systems and detailed production analysis mechanisms to identify operational inefficiencies and optimize existing resources. Importantly, these changes were achieved without expanding manpower or infrastructure, demonstrating the effectiveness of process optimization.
The results of these interventions were substantial.
Per-person production increased from 1534 kg to 2542 kg per month, resulting in a 166% increase in workforce productivity. Simultaneously, per-person profit increased by 164%, while PAT margins improved by 30%.
These improvements highlighted how structured execution and operational discipline can significantly enhance manufacturing efficiency without major capital expansion.
The collaboration also encouraged Lokhande Industries to focus on future-ready business strategies. The company is now preparing to diversify into end-to-end toys manufacturing, aiming to create scalable growth opportunities in a higher-value manufacturing segment.
In addition to operational restructuring, dedicated business consultants worked closely with the company to identify production bottlenecks, operational inefficiencies, and revenue leakages. Tailored interventions were then implemented to ensure measurable and sustainable business growth.
