LTIMindtree plans to divide its salary hikes into two phases. The IT services company has confirmed that half of the employees will get their raises from January 1, 2026, and the other half will receive them from April 1.
In an interview with the Economic Times, the company’s MD and CEO, Venu Lambu, detailed the schedule, saying: “We’re going to start the wage hike starting from January, which will go on till April. You can expect us to have an increment cycle spread over two quarters… and you never know… why not do it throughout the year for different populations of employees.”The company, which earlier gave salary hikes once a year between April and June, has now decided to spread them over two quarters.
Lambu said this change isn’t meant to improve finances or satisfy shareholders. Instead, it’s to allow time for training employees, as clients are pushing for lower prices and AI is evolving quickly.

Lambu also confirmed that the company is not planning any workforce reductions or restructuring, a contrast to the actions of some other large companies in the sector. He also noted that the company has separated its revenue growth from increases in headcount.
“We added $64 million of incremental revenue without any headcount increase… in fact, with less headcount, maybe 200-300 less than what we had at the beginning of the year,” Lambu noted.LTIMindtree hired around 2,500 fresh graduates through training programs during this quarter, bringing its total headcount to 86,447, which is up by 2,588 from the previous quarter.The company reported a 10.1% rise in net profit for July–September, with revenue crossing Rs 10,000 crore for the first time, supported by improved margins and large deal wins.Lambu, who took charge in May, said a new five-year growth plan will be announced in December. He also noted that revenue from major clients has slowed as AI tools are improving efficiency in existing projects.
