Star Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen succumbed to a defeat at the hands of Alwi Farhan in the semifinal of the men’s singles event at the Macau Open Super 300 Badminton tournament on Saturday.
The 23-year-old Sen was handed a 21-16, 21-9 defeat in straight games in his final-four encounter against Indonesian Farhan.
Farhan got the fixture underway on a positive note as he zoomed to the lead early on in the opener and never let his stranglehold of the game slip as he coasted to a 21-16 win in the first set against the Indian.
