'Mahanati' actress Keerthy Suresh talks about experimenting with roles, transition to Bollywood: 'I want to get it right'

Keerthy Suresh has definitely become a force to be reckoned with in the South Indian entertainment industry. Now, with her upcoming series 'Akka', the renowned actress is poised to break into the glamorous world of Bollywood as well.

In her latest interview, the star broke down her role for the public and even opened up about how she wants to be remembered.

In an interview with Elle Magazine, the star revealed that she wishes to be someone who is remembered by their ability to grow and evolve. She also shared that after the big biopic success ‘Mahanati’, it was her own choice to avoid such projects to allow her space to grow and challenge herself.“I know that continuing to experiment and taking on roles that challenge me comes with a higher risk, but I’d much rather do that than repeat the same kind of work”, she added.She also addressed her much-awaited transition from South Indian films to Bollywood as well. She mentioned that the life and culture of Bollywood is completely different from what she is used to; however, that has also become one of the main focal points as to why she has chosen to transition to the industry right now.She also shared how excited she is, adding, “This is a very exciting chapter for me. I’m here to see what’s interesting, what challenges me – and balance it with the work I continue to do in the South.

The process, the way things work in Bollywood, the culture – it’s all new and I’m enjoying absorbing it. I think I have a long way to go, and I’m in no rush. I want to get it right”.
