A woman doctor who worked at a government-run hospital in Maharashtra's Satara district was found dead in a hotel room after reportedly dying by suicide. The victim reportedly left a suicide note written on her hand, in which she accused two police officers of raping and sexually assaulting her over a period of five months.

On her suicide note, she wrote that PSI Gopal Badane raped her multiple times over five months, as well as sexual harassment, while police officer Prashant Bankar mentally harassed her.

After the incident came to light, the police sent the body for post-mortem examination and began forensic analysis of the suicide note written on the doctor's hand.

Authorities have initiated forensic testing of the suicide note to verify its authenticity and to ensure all legal protocols are followed.

The ongoing investigation aims to establish the sequence of events and the extent of any criminal conduct. The post-mortem and forensic findings are expected to play a key role in the legal process moving forward.

No official statement has yet been released by the police officers named in the note, nor has there been a formal response from the department regarding the specific allegations.
