Maharashtra native arrested in Kerala’s Alappuzha with undocumented cash

The Alappuzha South police in Kerala have arrested a 38-year-old man for transporting ₹31 lakh on a train without valid documents.

The accused has been identified as Ravindra Tulsi Ram Mano of Sangli in Maharashtra. He was staying in a rented house at Mullakkal Street in Alappuzha. He was taken into custody on Sunday.

Based on a tip-off that a person was travelling on Vande Bharat Express passing through Alappuzha with cash lacking proper documentation, a police team led by Alappuzha DySP M.R. Madhubabu and Narcotics Cell DySP B. Pankajakshan intercepted Ravindra at the Alappuzha railway station.
