Police seize 68 motorcycles, 5 litres illicit liquor in Nandyal

The police seized 68 motorcycles without valid documents, five litres illicit liquor, and 180 litres of jaggery wash in the cordon and search operations conducted across the district on Sunday (August 10, 2025).

The operations were conducted in eight police station limits of the district to ensure law and order, create an atmosphere of safety and security among the people and prevent crime, the police said in a statement.

In Nandyal sub-division, the police seized jaggery wash during search at Sugalimetta of Panyam police limits.

In Mandaluru village of Rudravaram police limits of Allagadda sub-division, police recovered 11 vehicles without valid documents. Another 13 motorcycles and five litres illicit liquor and 25 quarter bottles stored illegally were recovered in Dhone Town, Jaladurgam, Banganaalle and N. Racherla police limits of Dhone sub-division.

In the operations conducted in Boyirevula village of Velugodu police limits of Atmakur sub-division, police seized 24 motorcycles and 12 quarter bottles.

During the operation, police also searched the residences of rowdy-sheeters and those with criminal antecedents and cautioned them against involvement in anti-social activities.

The police also raised awareness on cyber crimes, road safety, and importance of installing CCTVs.
