Maharashtra shocker: 2 brothers jump before train, parents found hanging at home

A shocking incident has come to light from Maharashtra’s Nanded district, where four members of a single family were found dead under tragic circumstances.

According to police, two brothers allegedly died by suicide after jumping in front of a train near Mugat railway station. They have been identified as Bajrang Ramesh Lakhe (22) and Umesh Ramesh Lakhe (25). Meanwhile, the bodies of their parents were found hanging inside their own house in the village. The deceased parents were identified as Ramesh Honaji Lakhe (51) and his wife Radhabai Ramesh Lakhe (44). The incident occurred in Jawla Murar village of Mudkhed tehsil, leaving the entire village in a state of shock and mourning.

The exact reason behind the deaths is not yet clear. Police are investigating whether the parents died by suicide or if there is any other angle involved. Initial suspicion points towards financial distress as a possible cause, though officials have said no conclusion has been reached yet.

The Lakhe family consisted of only four members, and the incident wiped out the entire family. Umesh Lakhe was a former tehsil vice-president of MNS Mudkhed and was actively involved in social work, making the incident even more shocking for locals.

After receiving information, senior police personnel rushed to the spot. A forensic team also reached the village to examine the scene.

All four bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. While the incident appears to be a case of suicide at first glance, police have stated that a detailed investigation is underway to ascertain the exact sequence of events. Police suspect that financial difficulties could be one of the possible reasons behind the tragedy, but all aspects are being thoroughly probed.
