Mumbai witnessed a luminous celebration of music and devotion this Diwali as National Award-winning Hindustani classical vocalist Mahesh Kale returned home from San Francisco for a special concert series across Maharashtra. The performances in Dadar, Thane, and finally at Mumbai’s iconic Royal Opera House drew packed audiences, culminating in a spellbinding Diwali and Lakshmi Pooja celebration through music.The Royal Opera House, resplendent in festive glow, was filled to capacity as Kale took the stage. The moment his first raag unfurled, the hall fell into a reverent hush — a shared breath between artist and audience. His renditions of Anand Manao Mangal Gao, Majhe Jeevan Gane, Morya Morya, Man Lobhale Man Mohne, and He Suranno Chandra Vha wove together devotion, nostalgia, and joy, turning the morning concert into a radiant experience of light and sound.
