Man booked for drunk driving after his car rams 14 two-wheelers parked at a cafe in Kochi

As many as 14 two-wheelers, including premium motorcycles, parked in front of a cafe at Kundannoor were damaged after a car allegedly driven by a drunk person rammed into them on Friday around 11 p.m.

The man, identified as Mahesh of Kollam, was arrested and later released on station bail. He was booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and the Kerala Police Act Section 120(j) (causes any injury or damage by any negligence or ill-usage in driving, management or care of any animal or vehicle).

As per the first information report, the car rammed into the two-wheelers, among which a premium motorcycle sustained damage worth around ₹1.50 lakh.
