Man falls off ride at school ground

In a freak accident during the Onam celebrations, a youth fell from a ride at the Government Boys School ground in Thripunithura. Vishnu, 33, a resident of Thekkinbhagom, Thripunithura, fell from a height of nearly 15 feet while on a pirate ship ride, according to a city hospital where he was rushed following the incident.

The accident occurred around 10 p.m. The ride had been set up on the school ground as part of the ongoing Athachamayam festivities during the Onam season.
