Man found dead in Patna home, suspicious circumstances under investigation

Patna: A 45-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home in Isapur neighbourhood of Patna’s Phulwarisharif police station area on Sunday.Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene, along with the FSL team, and began an investigation into the case.Ghulam Shahbaz Alam, in charge of the police station, said they questioned the neighbours and victim’s family, and it came to light that deceased Anand Kumar had a dispute with his wife Poonam Devi for the last several months. “The couple, parents of two sons, aged 15 and 12, reportedly stayed in separate rooms. The family told the police that Anand went to sleep in his room after having dinner on Saturday night. When he didn’t come out of his room in the morning, they checked on him and found him lying dead on bed. There were no external injuries on the body, but blood appeared to be coming out from nose,” he said, adding police have sent the body to AIIMS-Patna for a postmortem examination.“The exact cause of the death will be known from the medical report. Meanwhile, the police are investigating the case from all angles,” he said.
