Man hacked to death in Koppal district, seven arrested

The District Police arrested seven people on Monday in connection with the brutal murder of a 30-year-old man over a property dispute in Tavargera town of Kushtagi taluk in Koppal district on Saturday night. The crime has been captured on CCTV camera.

The victim, Channappa Narinal, a daily wage worker, was attacked with lethal weapons by a group of 10 members. He was brutally hacked to death in front of a bakery near the old bus stand in Tavargera town.

The arrested accused have been identified as Manju, Ravi, Pradeep, Manjunath, Nagaraj, Gautham and Pramod.

The CCTV footage shows the accused group repeatedly attacking the victim Channappa with swords and billhook inside the bakery. Later, the assailants dragged him out and continuously beat him up till he died.
