Man murdered by wife’s paramour in Hosur

KRISHNAGIRI: The Hosur town police on Monday arrested a woman and her paramour on charges of murdering her husband. The murdered man has been identified as K Saravanan, 25, of Parvati Nagar in Hosur.

He was a labourer. The police arrested his wife, Muthulakshmi, 20, and her paramour, M Surya, 23, in connection with the murder.Muthulakshmi, a mother of two, had been involved in a long-term affair with Surya. Saravanan came to know about the relationship and confronted his wife. Muthulakshmi informed Surya about her husband confronting her over the issue. On Sunday evening, Surya and his friend, Sakthi, 20, met Saravanan outside his house and took him to an isolated place. A dispute erupted between Saravanan and Surya. “Surya stabbed Saravanan with a knife, killing him on the spot," said an officer at the Hosur town police station. The police recovered the body and sent it to the Hosur Govt Hospital for postmortem. They registered a case and launched a search for Sakthi who was absconding.
