A man slapped a woman at El Dorado International Airport in Bogota for denying his request to give up on her seat.
The video of the incident went viral on social media, showing a man, identified as Hector Santacruz, approaching a woman, Claudia Segura, and asking her to leave her seat.
According to the New York Post, Segura sat in the seat next to Santacruz’s wife while he was gone, and got very angry when she wouldn’t give up the seat.
“Get up or I’ll get you up," the man told her.
A man got angry when a woman refused to give up her seat next to his wife. He told someone nearby to record the incident, then slapped the woman’s phone out of her hand and hit her in the face. The woman, Segura, said the impact was so strong that it knocked off her earring.

Other passengers rushed to the woman’s defence.
More people got involved in the fight when Santacruz angrily tried to push them away. His wife later jumped in and attempted to calm the situation. A second video taken shortly after showed Segura lying on the floor while airport staff helped her with her injuries. Meanwhile, Santacruz was seen being handcuffed and taken away by security as nearby passengers cheered.
“I am affected and very afraid," Segura said while speaking about the incident. She said that she sat on the seat as it was vacant.
“When I got to the waiting area, everything was completely full, and I only saw one empty chair," New York Post quoted her as saying.
“It didn’t have any bags or clothes on to indicate it was occupied, so I sat down," she said.
