Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's latest film 'Mass Jathara', which hit theatres last Friday evening, has opened to a mixed response at the box office. Released alongside the re-release of SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali: The Epic', the film managed a decent opening weekend, but early estimates from Tuesday indicate that collections have started to dip.According to trade analyst Sanilk, the film, which began with the evening shows from Friday collected Rs 3.1 crore and later made Rs 4.2 crore on Sunday. The film saw a dip on Sunday, collecting Rs 3.15 crore. Then on Monday, the film made Rs 1.16 crore and Tuesday's early estimates suggest a further decline to Rs 84 lakh. With this, the film's total domestic box office collection stands at approximately Rs 12.45 crore.

Theatre occupancy

On Tuesday, 'Mass Jathara' recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 15.37%. The film's Day 4 (2D) theatre occupancy in the morning shows registering 14.64%, afternoon shows at 16.20%, evening shows at 14.81%, and night shows slightly increased to 15.82%.

About 'Mass Jathara'

Helmed by debutant director Bhanu Bhogavarapu, the film features Sreeleela as the female lead. The film is about Ravi Teja as a railway police officer who confronts social injustices and illegal activities.

Naveen Chandra is seen playing the antagonist who leads a powerful ganja smuggling nexus. The movie also includes Rajendra Prasad and Naresh in key roles.
