Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam on Monday offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara, accompanied by his wife, Veena Ramgoolam.
On his arrival at the main temple complex, he was accorded a traditional reception by Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, and EO Anil Kumar Singhal, who then escorted him to the sanctum sanctorum. He stood for a few minutes before the presiding deity and offered his obeisances.
Vedic scholars rendered Vedasirvachanams on him and his entourage at the Ranganayakula Mandapam, after which the authorities presented him with the deity’s thirtham and laddu prasadams.
