Vizianagaram District Collector B.R. Ambedkar on Sunday said that healthy relations between media and the administration will benefit society in all aspects. It will also make officials take corrective steps wherever necessary.

Alongside Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal, the Collector felicitated 40 journalists on the occasion of the 68th Foundation Day of the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ambedkar promised to resolve all pending issues concerning journalists including the distribution of house sites, accreditation cards and other welfare measure.

APUWJ State secretary P.S.S.V. Prasada Rao, the Association district president V.M. Mahapatro said that the government had issues many G.O.s with regard to the welfare of journalists,’ with the persistent efforts of the Association.

Attending the event were The Association vice-president Panchadi Apparao, Small Papers Association president K.J. Sarma, secretary Samudrala Nagaraju and others.
