TV star Hina Khan bravely shared her stage 3 breast cancer journey after a 2024 diagnosis. She openly documented her chemotherapy, hair loss, and advocacy for breast cancer awareness. In 2024, when she received the news that she had stage 3 breast cancer, the actress chose to face it head-on and go public with her cancer journey.

Hina Khan’s cancer diagnosis

In a social media post made on June 28, 2024, the actress revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and will be undergoing chemotherapy treatment to get rid of the aggressive disease. Since then, the star had been extremely open about her journey. From sharing videos of her getting rid of her hair with her family by her side, to wearing wigs and working with organizations to raise awareness about breast cancer treatment.

Hina Khan admitted that she ignored the signs

In another interview in February, the star appeared on Farah Khan’s channel, where she opened up about her diagnosis. She shared that at the time that she had ignored the signs that her body presented. She shared that, “You don’t really think it's something extreme. I thought I’d get some tests done later, maybe it was just an infection.”She further advised everyone to get checked as soon as possible and do not ignore the signs, thinking that it is not going to be something extreme.

A year after her diagnosis

The actress has remained active about her experience, and has, on multiple occasions, talked about the kind of treatment she had to undergo and what the current scenario is regarding breast health awareness. While talking to PTI in August earlier this year, the star expressed how she still feels that the health issue is not properly talked about. She also revealed that there are still qualms in the industry about her career as an actress, even though she is now open to working again.

At the time, the actress had said, “No one has called me for the last one year… I’m open to everything, please call me.”As of right now, the actress has undergone radiation, chemotherapy, and a double mastectomy to get rid of the cancerous tissue.
