Mega Digital Life Certificate campaign conducted by South Western Railway in Mysuru

The Mysuru Division of the South Western Railway organised a mega Digital Life Certificate Campaign in the city on Monday, November 17.

It was part of the nationwide campaign and held in coordination with the Personnel and Accounts Departments with the objective of assisting pensioners and family pensioners in submitting their annual Digital Life Certificates by using the latest face authentication technology.

The authorities said it also entailed creating awareness about the Jeevan Pramaan digital platform. The initiative was aimed at providing enhanced convenience, ensuring ease of living, and offering a completely hassle-free experience for all pensioners, said the authorities. The response was overwhelming and there was active participation from officials of various banks, they added.

Around 350 pensioners, including family pensioners, availed the services during the camp. Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru Division, Shammas Hameed, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Vishnu Gouda, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, Parthasarathy, President, Railway Pensioners’ Welfare Association, Mysuru, and G. Swaminathan, Secretary Pensioners Association, Mysuru, were present.

In addition, senior railway officers and senior officials from multiple banks also took part and helped guide pensioners through the digital certification process.

As part of the event, Mr. Mittal felicitated pensioners above 80 years of age and acknowledged their valuable contribution to the Indian Railways.

Apart from the smooth submission of Digital Life Certificate for more than 350 pensioners, the camp also offered Unique Medical Identity Card enrolment and grievance redressal services, making it a comprehensive support platform dedicated to the welfare of pensioners, according to the railway authorities.
