Melania Trump made a strong case for brown during her UK visit

Melania Trump’s wardrobe theme for her UK state visit? Something bold, something conservative, and some more browns.

Pantone Color of the Year would be Mocha Mousse, but for the FLOTUS, it's all about exploring the different shades of brown.

The First Lady made a compelling case for browns, and we are thrilled.

On Thursday morning, the First Lady accompanied Queen Camilla for a spectacular tour of Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Royal Library. Outfit for the occasion? An austere brown skirt suit, with the prettiest floral detail on the lapels.

The FLOTUS wore a leather suit by Louis Vuitton. The suit came with a scalloped hemline. The best part of the ensemble? The pretty floral embroidery on the lapels and the sides of the skirt.

The embroidered detail added a feminine touch to the whole look. To bring some texture to her look, Melania Trump added a pair of snakeskin Manolo Blahnik pumps. She kept it light on accessorizing, by only wearing a pair of diamond earrings and gold rings.

The side-parted wavy hair perfectly brought out her beautiful facial features and smile. She spent some time with the Queen looking through the literary treasures from the royal collection. Whilst in the Library, the Queen and the First Lady also met some children, who illustrated their own miniature books as part of an art project.

Later, Melania Trump joined the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, at Frogmore Cottage. What did she wear for the outing? She followed the utilitarian aesthetic, but also kept it casual.

She wore a belted brown suede jacket from Ralph Lauren, the second American designer, followed by her evening dress by Carolina Herrera (at the state dinner). The jacket was paired with cropped cream trousers by Loro Piana. For footwear, she chose tan leather ballet flats by Roger Vivier.

The side-parted open hair perfectly blended with the breezy morning stroll of the royal outing. She also met the cute little members of the Scouts' Squirrels program along with Princess Kate.
