Minister asks journalists to use emerging technology in Kurnool

Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath called upon the journalists to use emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) in their field and offer news that benefits the society.

Speaking at the refresher programme for journalists in the district, organised jointly by the A.P. CR Media Academy and the A.P. Union of Working Journalists (APWJ) at a private hotel on Saturday, the Minister said that social media is flooded with news and content which are misleading at times. “In this digital era where misinformation is spreading fast, journalists should give news that benefits the society and are factual,” he said.

Highlighting the role of the academy in the State, CR Media Academy chairman Alapati Suresh Kumar said that the refresher course would hone the skills of journalists and asked them to write positive stories about the good happenings in the society also.
