A minor got trapped inside a lift at a high-rise residential society in Ghaziabad’s Kaushambi on Monday after he randomly pressed switches for multiple floors.

The incident was caught on CCTV, in which the child can be seen pressing the buttons of the lift.

As the lift started moving, he forcefully tried to open the door with his hands before it reached the desired floor, causing the lift to stop between floors.

Noticing this, the child panicked and pressed the buttons again, but the lift didn’t move. Scared, he started shouting and crying for help.

Nearly seven minutes after getting stuck inside the lift, the child was rescued safely after a technician was called.

Meanwhile, a lift malfunction was reported at a hospital in Noida Extension, causing several people to be trapped inside. The hospital elevator remained stuck for approximately 30 minutes. Sixteen people including an elderly woman were reportedly trapped.
