Majority of the viewers pointed out that the film was filled too much with twists and turns around each corners and the script was not upto the level of what they expected from 'Drishyam' director.

Why 'Mirage' can work for youEventhough the audiences may not have loved 'Mirage' during it's theatrical release, being a Jeethu Joseph film, it could be a perfect watch on your home screens. An excerpt from ETimes review for the film read, "Jeethu Joseph's Mirage is full of twists and turns, with a surprising ending. However, it takes too long to get there. One can’t help but wonder if Jeethu dusted off one of his oldest scripts and made it into a film.

At one point, both the audience and the characters are spoon-fed “facts” as if reading a list of revelations, which feels jarring. Except for the final twist, everything else could have unraveled more naturally."
