Missing delivery man’s body found in Siwan

A 33-year-old delivery man, Sunny Bansfor, was found dead in a sack in Siwan district, Bihar, after going missing on Sunday evening. His blood-stained bike was discovered near a river, leading to the grim discovery. Agitated family members blocked roads at the hospital, demanding justice. Police are investigating the motive and have collected forensic evidence.

Patna: Body of a 33-year-old man, identified as Sunny Bansfor, was found stuffed in a sack at Sareya village under Husainganj police station area in Siwan district on Monday. Sunny, a resident of Fatehpur under Nagar police station area, worked as a delivery man and went missing after leaving his house to dispatch goods on Sunday evening.

His bike, with bloodstains on it, was later found near a river. A further search by his family led to the recovery of his body in a sack.Police said Sunny left his house around 4pm and remained in contact with his family over the phone till late evening, after which his cellphone was switched off. His family searched for him throughout the night but could not find him. When they reached the Town police station on Monday morning to file a complaint, they were informed that Sunny’s bike was found on the riverbank in Sareya village.Acting Siwan SP, Vikram Sihag, said, “When family members reached the spot, they saw bloodstains on the bike. After this, a search was started in the river with the help of divers, and a sack was pulled out of the water. When the sack was opened, Sunny’s body was found inside.”Husainganj police station in charge, Mihir Kumar, reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem to sadar hospital. As soon as the body arrived at the hospital, agitated family members blocked the road by placing the body in front of the hospital and started raising slogans against the administration.

On receiving information, police teams from Town police station, Mahadeva OP, and Sarai OP arrived at the spot and tried to pacify the family members. Sihag said, “Considering the seriousness of the case, the FSL team collected evidence from the spot. The CDR (call detail records) of the deceased’s cellphone is being examined. Police are working to identify the motive behind the murder and the persons involved. The culprits will be arrested soon.
