Missing person’s car found in Hemavathi canal in Karnataka’s Holenarasipur taluk

A car belonging to a person who went missing was found in the Hemavathi canal at Haralahalli in Holenarasipur taluk on Sunday.

Prema Kumar, 38, a resident of Karigowdana Koplu near Hassan, went missing on August 17. His father Thimme Gowda filed a complaint with the Shantigrama Police on Saturday, August 23, stating that his son had gone missing.

On Sunday morning, a car was found in the Hemavathi canal, and preliminary investigation revealed that the car belonged to Kumar. The police retrieved the car from the canal but did not find anybody inside. However, one of the windshields of the car was broken, the police said. Search operations for Kumar is under way.
