MLA Channareddy Patil has stressed to the officers of the concerned department to complete the administration of pulse polio to the eligible children without fail and make the drive successful.
He was addressing after administering polio drops to a child at a programme held in Bhavani temple in Yadgir city on Sunday (December 21, 2025).
The officers and other staff are entrusted to visit each house and administer polio drops to eligible children, he said.

“Yadgir district has 166,693 eligible children below the five-year age group. Officers must cover these children with drops, and you have to visit their places, whether it may be a house or a public place,” he directed.
Deputy Commissioner Harshal Bhoyar said that the administration of polio drops has been observed as a national programme. “The general public must cooperate with the officers and staff on duty and come to them to administer drops,” he appealed.
Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat Lavish Ordia said that the drive began on December 21 and would continue till December 24 to ensure that all eligible children are administered polio drops compulsorily.

Later, the staff visited the public places, including the railway station and bus stands, and administered the polio drops to children.
District Health Officer Mahesh Biradar said that people should join hands with the department officers to make Yadgir a polio-free district in future.
