Moga car chase: Man under influence of drugs rams scooters, creates chaos; arrested after 30-minute drama

BATHINDA: A man in an i-20 car created ruckus by driving recklessly at Baghapurana town of Moga on Monday. Police tried to stop the car at Gill village toll plaza but he accelerated the car and drove it to Baghapurana town. He continued speeding up the car even in narrow lanes and hit a couple of scooters while police was on the chase. After a drama that continued for nearly 30 minutes, finally police reached out to him after he drove the car in a street which was closed from the other end. While the police was on the chase, a number of persons too tried to stop the car and even hit it with sticks after he hit the scooters.Baghapurana police station SHO Jatinder Singh said “the man has been identified as Tejinderpal Singh (25) from Moga. He has been arrested under relevant sections and it was found that he was under the influence of drugs”.
