Formula E is back with one of the most popular races of the year in the principality of Monaco. The Monaco E-Prix is once again a double-header event, with the Round 9 and Round 10 races scheduled for Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, respectively.

The Monaco E-Prix is known for its iconic Monte Carlo Street Circuit which provides plenty of overtaking opportunities and is therefore, expected to deliver the high-octane entertainment it is known for. Here is everything you need to know about the Monaco double-header, including the race schedule, weather forecast and where to watch the action.

2026 Monaco E-Prix Schedule

This year, the Monaco E-Prix will not begin with a practice session on Friday.

Instead, the opening two practice sessions will take place on Saturday morning, ahead of the first race. Drivers will head out for FP1 at 7:30am local time (11am IST), followed by FP2 at 9:10am local time (12:40pm IST).After the back-to-back practice sessions, Qualifying for Formula E Round 9 will begin at 10:40am local time (2:10pm IST). The race will then get underway at 3:05pm local time (6:35pm IST).

The third free practice session, FP3, will take place on Sunday at 8:30am local time (12pm IST).

Qualifying for Formula E Round 10 will once again begin at 10:40am local time (2:10pm IST), while the race is scheduled to start at 3:05pm local time (6:35pm IST).DJ Jon Rocca will perform at the Monaco Fan Village to keep fans entertained between sessions and races.

Monaco E-Prix weather forecast

According to AccuWeather, conditions are expected to remain dry and sunny on Saturday, with temperatures around 18°C. It could become slightly warmer by race time, with temperatures expected to reach around 19°C. Rain is currently not forecast for Saturday.Conditions on Sunday are expected to remain similar, although slightly warmer, with temperatures likely to hover around 20°C for most of the day.

Who is expected to shine in Monaco this year?

Oliver Rowland enjoyed a strong Monaco E-Prix weekend last season, claiming one victory and another podium finish before eventually going on to win the Formula E title. Meanwhile, Sebastien Buemi ended his long winless streak by taking victory in one of the Monaco races.
