Congress Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy criticised former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy for his comments on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The YSRCP supremo had alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was not raising the issue of ‘vote chori’ in Andhra Pradesh because he was in touch with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu through Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Countering Mr. Jagan in a statement on Wednesday, Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy said, “I don’t understand YS Jagan’s thinking after losing the election. Chandrababu Naidu has already joined the NDA to save the 18th Lok Sabha, and it’s because of him that the NDA alliance crossed 275 seats in the Lok Sabha, enabling the Modi government to remain in power.”
Mr. Reddy further said, “If mistakes were made in your (A.P.) State, you should blame the EC, Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for the reasons behind the election defeat. It’s surprising that Jagan blames Rahul without holding Modi and Shah accountable, especially when discussing integrity.”
