Mumbai local shocker: Drunk cop misbehaves with women in ladies coach; booked

VASAI: A constable working with the MBVV police has been booked by the Vasai GRP under sections of use of criminal force against a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty (BNS 74) and criminal intimidation (BNS 351(2)) on Sunday.This constable has been alleged to have entered the ladies coach intoxicated and the complainant mentioned that he had made advances on the pretext of checking tickets between Mira road and Naigaon station.This happened when she was on a Virar bound local train on Saturday evening. In the complaint it has also been alleged that the constable was intoxicated.He was forced to de-board the local train at Naigaon station and was taken to the station masters cabin from where the government railway police was alerted.The station staff then handed over the accused to the GRP for further investigation when they arrived at Naigaon railway station manager's cabin.The accused cop was identified as Amol Sapkale, attached to the MBVV commissionerate. (The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
