The Chittoor District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Friday announced that the National Lok Adalat will be held across all courts in Chittoor district on July 5.
Secretary of the DLSA and Senior Civil Judge M.S. Bharathi asked people to make the most of this opportunity, as it is a quick, cost-free, and amicable resolution to legal issues.
The National Lok Adalat will be conducted under the directions of the Supreme Court and will be supervised by the National and State Legal Services Authorities. Judge Bharathi highlighted that cases settled through the Lok Adalat save both time and money, and the verdicts would remain final and binding, with no subject to further appeals.
Compoundable criminal cases, civil disputes, motor accident claims, cheque bounce cases, EPs, DVCs, MCs, bank recovery suits, BSNL, and PLP-related cases are eligible for settlements in the Lok Adalats.
She appealed to the judicial officers, lawyers, police, revenue, bank, and insurance officials, alongside chit fund companies to coordinate in placing Chittoor district among the top in settlement of cases.
