Before the first pitch at Citi Field, Francisco Lindor’s wife, Katia Lindor, took center stage to perform the National Anthem on the violin. The touching performance set the tone for what became a memorable evening for the family.
Francisco Lindor Watches With His Children as Katia Performs
Francisco Lindor, 31, stood proudly alongside the couple’s three children as Katia showcased her musical talent. Holding their six-month-old son, Koa Amani, in his arms, Lindor beamed as daughters Kalina, 4, and Amapola Chloé, 2, looked on with excitement. When Katia finished, the shortstop broke into a wide grin and bounced joyfully with his kids, sharing the emotional moment together.

The night became even more special when Lindor followed up his wife’s performance with a highlight of his own.
In the bottom of the second inning, he launched a home run, helping power the Mets to a decisive 8-3 victory over the Padres. It was a fitting continuation of the evening’s uplifting start.
Katia Lindor’s Musical Background
Katia, a classically trained musician, has long been passionate about her art. She minored in music while studying at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, according to ESPN. In a 2024 “Mets at Home” feature on SNY, she explained just how integral music is to her identity.
“Music being such an intricate part of my education and upbringing since I was little, I just can’t imagine my life without it,” she shared.For her Citi Field performance, Katia proudly showed her support for her husband, wearing his New York Mets jersey with the number 12 across the front, layered over a simple white tank top.
The Lindor Family’s Journey Together
Francisco and Katia married in December 2021 after welcoming their first child, Kalina, a year earlier.
Their second daughter, Amapola, arrived in June 2023, followed by baby Koa in March 2025. Ahead of Tuesday’s game, the family posed together for photos on the field, marking another milestone in their journey.
Francisco Lindor on Fatherhood and His Admiration for Katia
In July, Francisco Lindor spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about adjusting to life as a father of three. He praised Katia’s resilience and strength after welcoming their youngest.“Koa, he’s amazing. My wife is a rock. She’s great,” Lindor said at the time.
“She handles this postpartum stuff incredibly well. It’s crazy to see the human body, how it goes from one place or another to a whole different place. And then on top of that, now she has to take care of a human being and literally give life to this little thing. It’s incredible. She’s amazing. I married up, I got lucky.”
Lindor On His Changed Perspective Through Parenthood
Francisco Lindor has also been candid about how fatherhood has reshaped his outlook on life and baseball. He admitted that becoming a parent has made him more compassionate and appreciative of the present.“It definitely made me more sympathetic,” he explained. “Having kids made me value life a little bit more.
